Here we are at the picturesque Church Lane, the home of Linby Colliery Welfare.
Quite a bit has changed since my last trip here, a new pitch has been laid and improvements around the ground have also been made, but the one constant is St Mary's Church looming over the proceedings.
The home side are in red shirts with black shorts and red socks, while Teversal are in the same a blue kit as last week (albeit a bit cleaner!)
It is still as cold as it was last week and we have freezing rain showers to contend with also.
The Teversal side today lines up as follows...
1. Alex Buttery
2. Rob Harris
3. Jay Robb
4. Jack Weatherer
18. Pete Dunn
6. Chris Heathcote (C)
7. Deacon Lee
8. Liam Bush
9. Kamau Leverock
10. Brad Rodda
11. Ben Agbakosi
Subs
12. Tyreke Martin
14. Blake Clay
15. Blake Vincent
2.00 : Linby get the first half underway.
2.03 : First chance of the game falls to Linby, but it's high and wide of the upright.
2.10 : GOAL!! : 1-0. Teversal take the lead. Kamau Leverock, on his return from his international cricketing duties, scored the goal, but I must confess that I missed the goal as I was busy taking photos of the players. This is how Linby described it in their match report - "...the visitors took the lead on 10 minutes. Leverock cut inside and hit a wicked dipping left foot shot from 25 yards that flew past Jack Leverton, 0-1."
2.11 : Sin Bin - Chris Heathcote is sent to the dug out for ten minutes.
Linby pressing forward looking to break through.
2.16 : Tevie sub : 14 on for 18. Blake Clay replaces Peter Dunn.
2.19 : Claims for a penalty for Linby are turned down by the ref. Linby are not happy.
2.22 : Alex Buttery turns a Linby header over the crossbar.
2.23 : We're back up to full strength as Chris Heathcote returns to the pitch.
2.28 : GOAL!! : 2-0 : Ben Agbakosi shoots from the edge of the area after a poor kick out by the keeper to double the Teversal advantage. It goes in off the foot of the post.
2.29 : Yellow Card : Blake Clay for a foul.
2.35 : Yellow Card : Rob Harris for a foul.
2.36 : From the resulting free kick, Alex Buttery tips the ball around the post for a corner.
Linby are trying their luck from distance, but nothing of any note so far.
2.41 : GOAL!! : 2-1 : Linby have a goal back. A run down the left is crossed in and it ends up in the back of the net.
2.43 : Rob Harris clears a Linby effort off the line and away to safety.
Half time : Linby CW 1 - 2 Teversal FC Res.
HT : Tevie sub : 12 on for 7. Tyreke Martin replaces Deacon Lee.
2.58 : The second half is underway after Teversal makes the above change.
3.07 : Linby subs : 12 on for 9. 14 on for 11.
3.14 : Linby send a free kick wide of the post.
3.15 : Yellow Card : Tyreke Martin for a foul.
3.18 : Another Linby attack sees a shot go across the face of the goal and wide.
3.26 : Tevie Sub : 15 on for 9. Blake Vincent replaces Kamau Leverock.
3.34 : Ben Agbakosi sends an effort wide of the far post.
3.37 : Linby sub : 15 on for 2.
3.38 : Ben Agbakosi is through on goal but the keeper touches it wide for a corner.
3.43 : GOAL!! : 2-2 : Linby level it up with a shot through a crowded area and into the corner of the goal.
3.45 : Proceedings are brought to a conclusion by the match official.
Full Time : Linby CW 2-2 Teversal FC Res.
Man of the Match : Keeper Alex Buttery - a superb effort today by the shot stopper. Unlucky to beaten at the end of the game. Getting better with every performance.
The Reserves have done extremely well today as Linby are unbeaten at home this season and we were two minutes away from ending that record.
Next weekend the Reserves are away (yet again!) in the Notts FA Senior Trophy when they travel to Hucknall Town Res. Kick off is at Watnall Road at 2.00pm.
