Teversal started the game with three new players in the starting 11 and 5 on the bench and with no pre-season match time, took a while to settle into the game during which Southwell took the lead. After going a goal behind and going the slight slope the Tevie Boys settled down and started to take the game to their hosts. Another mistake at the back lead to Southwell going in at the break two goals up.
The second half started brightly and soon Tevie had their opening goal through Oli Heighway. As subs were made the game became a little disjointed as players settled in. A mistake from second half keeper Scott Ashley allowed Southwell to regain a two goal advantage before Stephen Bright opened his Teversal account with a well worked goal.
All in all lessons were learnt and positives taken
