Nobby Stiles, one of England's world cup winning heroes from 1966, will be appearing at the Dennyfield along with his son, former Leeds United footballer and now comedian, John Stiles.

As well as the anticipated nostalgia (or history depending upon your age) and comedy banter, there will be a sale of memorabilia, raffles and other fund-raising events.

The proceeds of the evening will go in support of injured Thackley skipper Rob Morgan who suffered horrific ligament injuries in December of last year. Sadly Rob is expected to be out of the game for at least a year.

Tickets cost only £15.00 each (which inlcudes a pie and pea supper) and are available from the clubhouse at any home match, or by telephoning 01274 615571.

So dig deep! Not only will it be a great fun evening, but it will support a popular player, and captain, who has given much to the club over the past few years.
