The home side started the first half towards the clubhouse and received the kick close to the 10 controlling possession for the opening encounter. Clearly starting with confidence, strong runs from Graham Owen and Max Holland took Moore deep into the away sides half and eventually the pressure told with a try from Lewis Johnston and a converted kick to follow. Following the restart, pressure was applied by the Moore pack and their hard work was rewarded with a penalty which was successfully converted by Johnston.
Duckinfield took full advantage all game of their line out - maul success which continued throughout the game and scored following miscommunication between the Moore defensive line. The kick was converted.
Moore returned the kick to Duckinfield and replacement Seyi David collected the ball following confusion amongst the defending Duckinfield side, ran a further 20 yards before offloading to Max Holland for a converted try.
The half ended with a superb individual try from Lewis Johnston, again converted.
Moore seemed to relax a little as the second half began and spent the start of the second half pinned in their own half. Moore took the ball over their own line and forced a five meter scrum, from which a penalty try was awarded to Duckinfield due to scrum infringements. The kick was converted.
Moore used their backs effectively during the restart and Brad Atherton (MOM) scored in the corner following a miss pass from Johnston, with the kick missed. A further 2 tries from Duckinfield meant they returned with purpose, however, some excellent creativity and accurate kicking from full back Luke Woods ensured the pressure was reduced, turned defence into attack and a further penalty was converted by Johnston.
A final try by Holland secured the win and the converted try left less than a minute to play.
The final score 39-24 to the home side giving them a winning bonus point and confidence looking forward to next week's game, away, to a struggling Knutsford.
