Our nets project is continuing at pace and we wanted to provide an update now that the season has finished.

Preferred Supplier selected

After a lengthy tender process, involving seven ECB approved system suppliers, we have decided to move forwards with a company called Total Play Ltd as our preferred supplier. Please visit their website if you would like to visualise how our four nets are likely to look!

Fund raising - £17,400 raised to date!

Through our 163 Challenge, Online Quiz night, member donations and our colts’ bacon sandwich team, we have raised nearly £10,000 since June, which is a magnificent effort! Thank you.
On top of that, we have been researching and applying for grant funding. This has been challenging in the COVID-19 environment, with many of the ‘usual’ funds having closed at least temporarily, or redirected funding understandably to more urgent causes. However, we are excited to say that this week, our good friends at Kent Youth Cricket Trust have donated £7,500 to our nets fund.

What’s Next? We need YOUR help!

In order to have the nets installed for the beginning of the 2021 season we need to raise the remaining funds by early January. The project team are continuing to search and apply for grants, however we need YOUR help!

Many companies support local community projects by providing match funding, sponsorship, donations or grant support. We would like all members, as well as colts’ parents, to find out if their employers might have such a scheme. If they do, please find out the relevant details (or contact) so that we can make an application. The project team is more than happy to support this – we likely have the relevant documents and information required and have got used to applying in the right way to maximise the chance of the application being successful – we just need to know the right companies and contacts!
As a club it will be fantastic to have the nets in place for next summer, so let’s get energised and find the needed funding!

Let us know if you are able to help raise the remaining funds - we think we are around a third of the way to the total we need to make this project become a reality.
