After last weeks draw the girls where keen to get back into their winning mode. Bea Bell set the goal scoring off with a controversial goal followed by Livy Smerden banging in two in close succession. Despite the score the game was definitely not one sided. Thirsk's goalie came under pressure and despite some great keeping Airedale managed to close half time at 3 - 1! A different Thirsk team came out for the second half with some very sharp passing and great teamwork. Megan Allan bagged the first goal in the second half followed shortly by a second. Both teams battled hard, Gina Garnett claimed a sixth goal of the match seeing the final score close at 6 - 1 to the home team. Ella Durkins performance was rewarded with man of the match.
