The Dubs travelled to newly promoted New Marske in the first away game of the season. The first goal of the game came on 5 mins when Anton Buchan was brought down inside the box and new signing Tom Atkinson scored his first from the spot.

The Dubs continued to dominate the game and create chances with Gaz Mitchell going close on 70 and 78 minutes forcing the keeper into two good saves.

Gaz Mitchell went close again on 80 mins, when Marcus Laing played a quick free kick from the half way line to the feet of Gaz Mitchell. With his back to goal he turned the defender but failed to hit the target with a left foot strike.
