Details of Iva’s funeral

Iva will be cremated at Westerleigh Crematorium at 11:45 on August 24th.

With numbers limited to 30 non-family mourners are not allowed to attend but we can see the service streamed online.

The service will be broadcast by Wesley Media.

Funeral procession route

The hearse will leave Gullwells at between 10:30 and 10:45 and will drive down Gillingstool, turn left into Oakleaze Road and travel the length of the road, then swing left into Easton Hill Road by Christ the King School and head down onto Gloucester Road by The Anchor Inn at Thornbury. It will then travel up Gloucester Road to Iva and Joan’s house.

The hearse will leave Joan and Iva's house at 11:10 with the route out of Thornbury being down Gillingstool then up Grovesend Road.

If you can, please spare a few minutes to stand and applaud the hearse as Iva goes on his way. With the journey going past two pubs - The Anchor and The Black Horse - an opportunity to raise a glass to him should not be missed.

At some time in the future there will be a proper celebration of Iva's life at the club.
