Thorne Lionesses hopes to grow in both strength and numbers this season. With a planned recruitment drive in schools, we hope to increase the rugby family and introduce more girls to rugby at Thorne, both in the Mini Junior section and girls teams.

With an action-packed season full of games ahead we are excited to see where this season goes. Every Friday night is free taster night at Thorne where any girls aged 10 and above can join us to give rugby a try!

It’s a great time to join the Lionesses at the minute with loads of incentives. Your first 4 weeks are free and then when you register and set up your subs – every girl gets a free hoodie, shorts, socks and after match shirt with training tops coming soon! On top of that every time one of our players brings down a friend to try rugby they get £5 credit towards the club shop.

We currently have the following team:
- U13’s – Years 7 and 8
- U15’s – Years 9 and 10
- U18’s – Years 11, 12 and 13.
After this season we hope to start a women’s team and properly establish female rugby at Thorne.

Training is on Friday evenings 6:30pm-8pm and games are on Sunday afternoons.
