Immediate pressure from Thornes yielded a positive result in the seventh minute when Hayden Train scored from long range, high into the net. Thornes’ soon netted a second goal, similar to the first when Sammy Amaefule scored in the 13th minute.
In the second half it was the turn of Toby Stocks to increase the goal tally with a pair of carefully taken gaols from a central position. Sammy took the goal tally to five late in the game with a well taken goal to the right of the keeper.

Thornes were helped by sustained attack from midfielders & forwards Will Bartrum, Henry Corbett, James Gough, James Lockwood, Jeyden Sephton & Harrison Shepherd.

Defenders Nathan Green & Robin Stanley were able to clear up most attacks when Durkar Devils broke through the midfield, leaving Thornes keeper Isaac Mortlock with little to do for most of the game.
