A quick start from Thornes who in the first ten minutes created three chances, but they failed to convert them. The game started to settle down and we had some good end to end football. Thornes opened the scoring through Joe Eyre after he was played through by Jack Hudson. Hunslet grow into the game and they equalised from a corner, before taking the lead just before half time.

Thornes came out of the starting blocks in the second half and leveled the score through Bailey Hall. Both teams were pushing to find the next goal and a number of chances went begging at both ends, before Jamaine Donnelly found the top corner to give Thornes a 3-2 lead.

Hunslet kept on battling and found an equalizer with 5 minutes to go. Thornes were then caught out again and
Hunslet scored the winner. The game ended 4-3 to Hunslet
