Hall Green started the stronger of the two teams and deservedly took an early lead. Thornes began to apply some pressure and it soon paid off when Harry Charles raced clear of the defence to coolly finish past the Hall Green goalkeeper.

Just before half time, Thornes won a free kick in a promising position. Thomas Waldie hit a well struck free kick which eventually fell to Tom Whiteside who buried the ball into the left hand corner. After half time Thomas Waldie fed the ball into Harry Charles down the left who picked out a perfect pass for Jacob Hutchinson to tap in and finish a brilliant team goal. Hall Green battled hard and scored a late consolation goal.

In the Development game, the first half was a very tight affair with no goals being scored mainly thanks to impressive goalkeeping from Harry Charles.

In the second half Hall Green took an early lead. A quick throw in by Jacob Hutchinson sent Hughie Crawshaw through who equalised from a tight angle. Hughie then scored a second, finishing off a great team move. Hughie then completed his hattrick to earn himself the man of the match trophy in a very impressive team performance.
