After a 2-2 draw just 2 weeks earlier against the same team at Queens Drive, Thornes Juniors u7s went one step further and notched up their second win of the season.

In a game that saw the lead change 5 times, it finished 7-5 in favour of the fledgling Thornes side.

Frankie opened up the scoring with a solo run before placing a shot in the bottom corner to make it 1-0 whilst playing an unfamiliar role in midfield commanding the middle of the pitch like a mini Kalvin Phillips.

Archie was next on the score sheet, then still hungry for more he went on to score an impressive hat trick!

Lucas was the 3rd name on the score sheet. He would also go on to score the final goal of the game too.

Thornes Juniors coaches Mathew & Roy both agreed the star player of the match was Betsy. Playing a quarter of the game as a striker and a role in defence in the second half. She bossed every role she was asked to play. Constantly running around, chasing people and never leaving her position open for a counter attack. And to finish of an absolute amazing performance, she also bagged her first goal for the team too!
