Wrenthorpe fought back and found themselves on level terms with two goals of their own. The home side kept on pressing, thretening to take the lead, but Thornes Kieran Lawn found the net twice to restore the Two goal lead before half time.

Wrenthorpe started the second half looking to get back in the game and they were rewarded with a well worked goal to reduce the deficit back to One goal. Thornes then rallied, and took control of the game. Ethan Reynard scored his second from the penalty spot before skipper Elliott Hammond fired in a free kick from just outside the box.

Kieran Lawn finished the scoring as he ran on to a ball from Joe Erye and fired in Thornes Seventh goal, completing his Hat-rick in the process.
