Thornton Cleveleys RUFC are pleased to announce that local lad Alex Grieve has joined the club as a club coach. Alex has a vast amount of coaching experience, and has travelled the world in doing so. Alex was a communiyt rugby coach at Sale Sharks and London Irish before he travelled abroad to work on a variety of development projects in America, Malta and Brazil. He then returned and became an acadmey coach at Esher.
Now back up north, Alex has been heavily involved in the club providing some excellent coaching sessions and challenging the lads with his vast knowledge. ASlex's role will be a senior coach in all aspects of training both Thornton teams, but his main responsibility will be to manage and develop the Thornton 2nd team development.
All at Thornton are pleased to welcome Alex and look forward to sharing his knowledge and experience over the coming months.
And for those that are wondering, even though he is a coach...... He will still have to complete the initiation test that new players have to. God help him!
