Oct 20 "Shipwrecked Badger"
The travels of the Thrumpton Cap 23 of 26

23. Oct 20 "Shipwrecked Badger"

The Badger cap goes from one disaster to another. With the badger cull in England he is staying well away

It is only with the greatest of luck that I am here to write to you today after I was shipwrecked in my latest attempt to spread the Badger gospel.......... Having had a free lift with Chris and Heather to Hawaii I was having trouble getting on a flight, my usual charm with the airline ladies had left me.

So as I was close to the sea I sought passage on a boat bound for Florida. Unfortunately for me we were caught up in Tropical Storm Isaac and alas the ship went down in choppy waters, the crew were safe but as i wasn't listed as a passenger no one came to rescue me. After days of floating, being swooped on by seagulls and being nipped at by fish I spotted land............

After a couple of hours more I was grateful to be washed up on the shore, safe at last I hoped but as I had no idea where I was I just sat there on the beach, thinking about what to do next...................

I'll tell you next week where I found myself.

The end of the season has gone but that just means I have to head further afield to keep Thrumpton on the map.......

Burnsys to Heathrow to Buenas Aires to Cayman Isles to Philadelphia to Niagara Falls to Thrumpton to the ICC Dubai to Brazil to the Grand Canyon
