A General meeting was held in the village hall on January 24th 1970 in the presence of 20 member and 6 non members. The meeting opened with the reading of the last general meeting. No profits can be shown as the club still owes money for the ground. As no income or expenses were now taken by the Secretary the Treasurer was asked to read out details of the past year.

The averages were then read, Mr R Pick headed the batting, Mr R Priestley the bowling and Mr W Pepper, Mr H Pick and Mr N Shaw the catches.It was decided to count the averages in all matches played, this included the league games.

Arrangements were made at the meeting to run Whist Drives and also a Christmas raffle to raise money for the club.

The club had managed to make quite a sum of money so £150 was paid back on the loan to the ground.. It was also decided at the meeting to insure players and cricket staff as well as the pavilion and its contents.

In the league the club played 11 games Won 7 and Lost 4 and finished 2nd in the league. Mr R Pick scored 72 not out and Mr H Pick 68 not out in the league matches. Members were asked at the meeting to help with the ground before matches started. A Vote of thanks was passed by the meeting to Mr Seymour for attending the meeting and the help he had done for the club.
