A general meeting was held in the village hallon Friday 6th April, 1963, 16 members being in attendance.

The President was unable to attend, the chair being taken by Mr C Towers. The secretary read out the minutes of the last general meeting these together with the accounts showed a balance in hand of 12 pounds 7 shillings and 4 pence, a loss of 11 pound chiefly due to the fact of 7 pounds not being paid by Vice Presidents and Presidents subs, together with the lack of Whist Drives during the winter.

The averages were then read out, Mr K Church won the batting, Mr E Chettle the bowling and Mr W Pepper the catching.

The club on the whole did moderate with the exception of Mr K Church, he alone was outstanding in the batting.

The Official were then elected for 1963, Mr C Towers the captain, Mr R Chettle the Vice Captain. Mr E Chettle asked to be relieved of his duty as Secretary to the club, a position he first took in 1936. Mr N Shaw relieved him as Secretary.Mr E Chettle promised the new Secretary as much help as he could.

The groundsmen were asked to be relieved of their duties. It was decided that the job would be done by the members of the club.

Mr A Butler offered to refelt the pavilion roof whilst others came to prepare the ground. It was decided to raise the subscription to 1 shilling and 6 pence and also 1 shilling tomembers under the age of 16.

When the meeting finished it was decided to hold a Whist Drive on April 19th 1963.
