A general meeting was held in the village hall on Monday February 20th 1967 in the presence of 13 members. The meeting opened with the reading of last years general meeting. These together with the accounts showed a balance in hand of 57 pounds 9 shillings and 8 and a half pence, a loss of 4 pounds 16 shillings and 6 pence on the year due to only one Whist Drive being run.

The averages were then read, Mr A Butler topped both the batting and catches and Mr G Shaw the bowling.

The officials were voted en bloc except for the Captain, Mr G Sewell took over from Mr R Chettle. Several changes were made regarding the running of the club. Membership was increased to 10 shillings and also a 2 shilling match fee.

Vice Presidents fees were raised to 1 pound and 1 shilling for men and 10shillings and 6 pence for Women, all subs to be paid by January 24 th 1968

The chief topic of the meeting was making arrangments for the new ground, the land for this most kindly given by the Hon. G Seymour.

It was decided to run Whist Drives and also a large raffle for the Christmas Whist Drive. Arrangments for later meetings were made to carry on with the task of saving the club from dropping through as everyone knew through having the old club ground taken away at such short notice. A great effort lay before the club and village. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks for the President being able to attend.

A meeting was held on the club grounds to discuss a large Whist Drive at Christmas, prizes for this were offered by a number of people. Also at this meeting arrangments for work on the new ground were made. The arrangments for the firms doing the work were left in the hands of Mr G Seymour, Mr R Priestley and Mr G Shaw.
