PETER BRABROOK.
Tilbury Football Club are saddened to report the Death of our former Manager and Coach, Peter Brabrook.
Most people in Football will remember Peter from his times as a very skilful winger with Chelsea, West Ham United and Leyton Orient. However, after his Football League career was over, Peter developed a long and strong association with our Club.
He came to us originally at the start of the 1986/87 season, initially as Coach assisting manager Martin Binks. Almost before the season started though, pressure of work forced Martin to resign, and Peter took over as Manager. He remained in the job until mid-January 1989, when he left to join Billericay Town.
Some years later, Peter returned to Tilbury, on an informal basis, as a Coach. He worked intermittently over several years alongside managers such as Nicky Phillips and Tony Cross, with particular responsibility for pre-season training, and regular visits on normal training nights.
Peter was a very popular man here at Tilbury and very well liked, and had a very good relationship with our former chairman Robin Nash.
All connected with the Club send their deepest condolences to his Family, and best wishes for the future.
Peter's record as Manager of Tilbury was as follows;
