A young Dockers side won 4-1 at East Thurrock on Thursday night.

The Dockers fielded their youngest reserve side so far this season against a very strong East Thurrock outfit. The game was played at a great pace with both teams trying to establish a early grip of the game.
With both teams having half chances it was the Dockers who went in front when Brad Hooper latched on to a through pass from Lee Jacobs to put Tilbury one up.
East Thurrock replied strongly and hit the bar and shot wide as the first half was coming to a end. After a period of Pressure East Thurrock equalised when first team player Mark Grobel headed home after some sloppy defending from the Dockers. On the stroke of half time some great link up play between Hooper and trialist Larry Atumuto see the Dockers go in 2-1 up.

At half time u16 Joe Paxman was introduced for the Dockers replacing Laurie Wiggins. Instantly Joe started to run at their fullback giving him assorts of problems whenever he had a opportunity to. East Thurrock made changes and again had a period of pressure when they hit the bar for the second time and shooting wide on a couple of occasions.
After a good run from Paxman the Dockers Trialist larry Atumuto netted his second of the night making it 3-1. Changes were made by the Dockers seeing Danny Aldwinkle , Frank Dankwa, Ben Walker, and goal keeper James Pellin coming on. After the third goal the Dockers was now the better side and a good run by Dami Oni saw Brad Hooper covert a fabulous free kick for the goal of the night.
The game ended 4-1 to the Dockers

“Mick Jacobs Quoted the players tonight did exceptionally well tonight against a tough outfit. The game was set up to look at the young players we have coming through and they didn’t disappoint us which was great.”
