Tilbury and Felixstowe & Walton United had to settle for a share of the spoils following a 1-1 draw on a damp afternoon at Chadfields.
Tilbury had just a single change to the side with Calvin Ekpiteta replacing the injured Lee Burns.
It was the visitors who took control of the game early on, finding and creating a number of good chances. On 8 minutes George Clarke ran through unchallenged and hit wide. On 14 the unlucky Miles Powell will wonder how he did not score. He smashed the bar from the edge of the area, before 11 minutes later striking the inside of the post. Tilbury's best chance of the half fell to David Knight who hit the outside of the bar just before the break, but still time for both John Easterford and Ola Ogunwamide both having good chances.
Tilbury did take the lead on 56 minutes, David Knight scoring from the spot after Calvin Ekpiteta was brought down in the box by Bennett. It looked like Tilbury would push on, but keeper Danny Crump kept his side in the match.
Felixstowe did get themselves back in the game on 70 when some slack defending, saw the ball fall to Jack Newman, who was in plenty of space and picked his spot to score past Aldridge.
On 78 Ola Ogunwamide had two golden chances when he broke through and hit over, before seconds later volleying wide.
With 3 minutes to go the strong finishing Dockers had the ball in the net, but substitute Marlon Agyakwa saw his tap home ruled out for offside.
The result see's Tilbury remain in 9th in the league.
Tilbury return to action next Saturday, when they travel to the Brentwood Centre to play Romford. Before that, Tilbury welcome Brentwood Town on Tuesday night in the Essex Thameside Trophy.
