U14's v Cheadle/Cheadle Hulme

This week the U14s took on Cheadle/Cheadle Hulme at home.
First quarter
Timperley got off to a flying start with Jim winning face and bolting up the field passing to Cai who beats his man and fires home. Exactly the same from face except Cai moves ball on to Owen who hits the back of the net 2-0. Timperley dominate the possession and move the ball well creating all sorts of problems for the C/CH defence. Noah breaks and sets up Cai who scores again. Cai again receives the ball from Ben E and forces his way past the defender and scores. Jack wins the ball from the face and moves up field sees the gap and shots from long range goal. Timperley break at the end of the quarter and Cai again hits the back of the net. Timperley 6-0 up.

Second quarter
Timperley start as they left off in the first with most of the early possession and a great pass from Cai sets up Noah who beats the keeper. C/CH start to enjoy a bit of possession and a great run from their number 48 sees him finally get through Timperley’s defence and score. Timperley hit straight back with Jim winning face and breaking up field beating his man and scoring. Halftime 8-1.

Third quarter
Timperley again enjoy the majority of the early possession and Cai scores again to extend Timperley’s lead. C/CH are now enjoying much more possession but can’t break down our defensive unit but the pressure led to a mix up at the back and an own goal. Timperley regain their composure at the back and Ben L breaks up field and passes on to Cai, goal. Great assist.

Forth quarter
A slower quarter with both teams creating chances but struggling to beat the keepers who have both had great games. Eventually a great individual goal from Noah breaks the deadlock and makes the final score 11-2 Timperley.

Good all round performance from the boys this week. Special mention for Noah Brennan who was excellent today and Alex Bathurst who had a solid game at the back in his U14s debut.
