U14 Boy's v Cheadle/Cheadle Hulme

This week the U14s started their cup campaign away at Cheadle.
Q1
Timperley got off to a flying start with Jim winning face and passing the ball on. Owen receives the pass and beats his man and fires home. Owen then becomes provider with a great pass into Cai who finishes well. This is quickly followed up by Owen firing in his second. Jim again wins face and passes on to Cai who finds Mark who beats his man and the keeper. 0-4. Jack and Daniel in midfield controlling the ball well and finding Ben E who sets up Owen for his third. Cheadle/Cheadle Hulme enjoy some possession but cannot break through Alex M, Leon and Toby. Noah receives the ball and bolts up the pitch round the defender and scores. Timperley again win face and move the ball round. Cai fires home two more in quick succession. Jim wins the resulting face on to Cai, he passes back to Jim who receives a big slash but unfazed Jim fires home.

Timperley again start the quarter strongly and a shot from Owen is saved but Cai picks up rebound and scores. C/CH enjoy a spell of possession and move the ball round well but can’t beat Tom. Tom sends the ball out to Jack. Jack makes his way upfield on to Cai who beats 3 men and scores his fifth. Noah wins the face and the ball is picked up by Sam back to Noah who goes round theC/CH defence cuts back in and scores. This is quickly followed up by Cai scoring his sixth.
Half time 0-13
Q3
Timperley again dominate possession and move the ball round well the balls ends up with Owen who fires a rocket past the C/CH keeper. C/CH break up field but Leon wins the ball back and dashes upfield on to Cai who nets his seventh. Another goal each from Cai and Jim sees Timperley extend their lead.

Q4
C/CH are battling for everything and have not let up all game. They enjoy possession and circle the Timperley goal but stout defending from Alex B and Ben L keeps them at bay. Two more goals from Cai in quick succession with jack assisting sees Timperley extend the lead to 0-19. Sam wins the ball and passes upfield to Cai who fires home. A final move sees three quick passes which ends in Cai’s twelfth to finish the game off.
Final score 0-21.

The score doesn’t show the work rate and skill shown by Cheadle/Cheadle Hulme who never let their heads drop and put in a solid performance against a much bigger and older team.
