After a couple of weekends off the team were raring to go for their second game of the season against Leeds. The team started off strong in the first quarter with lots of possession for Timperley and goals scored by Lucy, Lynsey and Sophie. The attacking team stayed very united and made good passes across the field which led to more goals, including Alex who scored her first goal of the season. This continued into the second quarter and Timperley conceded no goals, leaving the half time score 10-0.

Both teams came out strong in the second quarter determined to get the ball with their team. Whenever the ball was dropped by Leeds, Timperley fought hard to get the ball back and possession was won the majority of the time. Unfortunately, there were a few calls from the referee’s and there were two yellow cards on both Timperley and Leeds, but both teams learnt from these and moved forward with skill in the rest of the game. 5 more goals were scored in the second quarter by Timperley’s Emily Hudson, Maisie and Sarah.

Thanks to a strong defensive unit and an excellent performance by Georgia in goal, no goals were conceded in the second half by Timperley making the final score 15-0.
