On a rare sunny Saturday in November in Manchester, Timperley travelled all the way across the city to play the now merged team Wilmslow/Brooklands. With lots of friendly faces everyone was keen to have a good game and score some goals. Wilmslow started off strong taking the first goal, however Timperley soon responded to this and began to match the energy of the opposition, with the first few goals scored by Kat and Nic with some strong techniques and drives. This left the score 4-1 to Timperley after the first quarter.

In the second quarter both teams came out strong again with relatively equal possession on both sides. Both Nic and Lucy scored goals by making good cuts into the fan and team members making good feeds. Wilmslow were awarded a free position after a foul was called which resulted in a goal. The score at half time was 6-2.

Going into the second half, both teams continued to play a competitive game. When Wilmslow got possession, Timperleys defence kept up high pressure causing several turnovers and Georgia saved some strong shots on goal and as a result, no goals were conceded by Timperley in this quarter. Attack kept it well settled around the goal, staying calm and making solid cuts. Both Kat and Emma E scored goals in this quarter leaving the score 8-2 in the third quarter.

In the final quarter, despite the goal difference, both teams fought really hard to get the ball back and possession switched between teams rapidly. The muddy pitch left both teams feeling tired running up and down the pitch and substitutes were made to ensure both teams maximised the energy of players. 4 more goals were scored by Timperley, however as Timperley began to tire and take the pressure off, Wilmslow scored two goals. After a great match between two neighbouring teams, the final score was 12-4.
