With great support from U13 team to have enough players.

Some clouds the previous evening but on the day a glorious sunny morning, again. Cheadle had only 11 players and we had 13. Cheadle wanted to play 10 vs 10 which we agreed to. Much sharper this morning from the start, but still not as sharp as against Oxton.

First half. It was an easy game for us and the score reflected this. We took charge from the word go and never looked back. Cheadle side was mainly made of U13 with 3 or 4 very talented young ones, but were no match at this game to our girls. First half the score was 13-1 to us and they scored on one of their few attacks. The defence was left a bit exposed for the goal but otherwise the defence did what they had to do. Midfield and attack got the ball from them if not at first attempt on the second or third one. We could have been a bit more effective and determined in our first challenges to get the ball, but we did not lack perseverance. Some individual solos resulted in most of the goals but at times we played some good passing.

In goal we had Sophie Hurlstone (U13) in the first half and Emma Maxwell (U13) in the second half. They both did very well and actually did not have a lot to do.

Second half, we played much better as a team and our goals were mostly team goals. The final score was 26 - 2 for Timperley.

Overall a good performance from all and deserved winners. We need to stay level headed and not get carried away with these kind of results, but it is still important to get the results which the girls did.

Man of the Match Defence - Jasmine Ellaby. Has just come up to U13 and was put in the deep end and coped very well. Played mostly in defence where she stuck to her player. When put in attack she had an assist.
Man of the Match Midfield - Alice Allen. Worked hard and chased her players.
Man of the Match Attack - Emily Meppem. First game of the season and worked her socks off. Running into spaces and fighting for every ball.
Man of the Match Match - Emma Coghlan. Worked very hard and took notice of coaches comment and tried to get more of the team involved in the front.
