U15 Girls Cruise to Victory with the help of some U13s

This week saw the U15 girls availability take a knock, with only 9 girls available on the morning of the game.
Some last minute calls for help were answered by 3 of our U13 girls, Suzanne Whitmarsh, Mathilda Beresford and Lexi Peach.
That gave us a squad of 12 and we were good to go.

The Timperley girls took control of the game from the first seconds, quickly building a commanding lead and never looking troubled.
It was time to test players in positions that they weren't used to playing.

Timperley mixed up the play and positions, but continued to dominate. A testament to the skills and versatility of this set of players.
To see 3 of our U13 players fitting into this team and making valuable, intelligent contributions to the play was a delight.

The scoreline suggests that this was a walkover, and Timperley were indeed never at risk of losing, but the spirit in which the game was played, and the complete commitment of all players for all 4 quarters was admirable.

A huge well done to all those who played today. Thanks to Emily and Franzi for going in goal, to allow Katie Tighe to play an outfield role and score her first GOAL of the season!! Well done Katie!

To those of our squad who were unable to make it today, we wish you all a speedy recovery and hope to see you back with us soon.

All in all a very enjoyable game and a highlight to see girls from different age groups coming together to register a commanding win.
We managed to get everyone on the scoresheet apart from Lexi, but Lexi played so selflessly, making great moves behind goal and always making great passes rather than holding on to the ball too long. The number of assists that she made demostrate her contribution to the win.
