U15 Girl's v Heaton Mersey

We had moved this game to Friday, so we played on the Astro. In total we had 16 players, with a good representation from the U13s (4x).

This was our final league game for this season. We played against a very good Heaton Mersey side. They made life very tough for us, but at the end we came on top.

Quarter 1: 3 - 3 draw.
Quarter 2: 6 - 2 fro TLC.
Quarter 3: 3 - 3 draw.
Quarter 4: 3 - 0 for TLC.

Final score 15 - 8 for TLC U15s.

Quarter 1 was an evenly matched affair. No side took a commanding lead. Quarter 2 is when we took charge. We were more clinical in our finishing and were much tighter in our defence. Quarter 3 another evenly matched quarter. Finally, quarter 4 we took control again.

There are elements we need to work on but work rate, team spirit and commitment was great.

Well done to all the players for wining the League without losing or drawing a game. We had some close games but you always like this game knew to come on top.

Ahead of us, we now have the semi-final JNGLA cup (Sunday 8th March), if we this the final on the Friday 8th May, Cobham Tournament (Sunday 10th May) and possibly Manchester Challenge Cup 16th or 17th May. We need all the players to come to the U15 training sessions to ensure we can focus on these games.
