Rhys Parks 's Captaincy was excellent, a good leader, making the calls when we needed it.
The boys won the toss of the coin and intelligently took the wind advantage, this was a key factor in our stamping out Cully's initial 20 minute attack, we defended excellently, regaining our line from every tackle, re setting and hitting them hard so nulifying their attempts to cross their gain line.
Tries came from Michael Bowley and Josh Drew with Joe Cockram converting a penalty.
Considering we had a half back combination, new to playing together, we delivered some great ball to our three quarters, great lines of attack from both centres created the space to free our supporting runners.
Big thanks to Dylan Jenkins playing up from the U15's in such a key position.
The last 20, our boys showed great intelligence, keeping the possession winning the maul and ruck and supporting the ball carrier, again keeping valuable possession, denying and frustrating the opposition.
Things to work on - clearing through in the ruck, taking out the opposition, hitting hard and playing to the whistle, dont allow yourselves to get distracted by decisions on the pitch, keep sharp and up the intensity for the full duration of the game.
Topsham displayed maturity in this game, focusing on what was needed to secure the win.
