but they came up against 14 players with a burning injustice at being docked 4 points from the week before.
Within the first five minutes Tops score when Ben Phillips is the man on the wing close to the try line and he finishes in the corner, the conversion against the wind crashes the post, 5-0.
Within 2 minutes a similar move through hands and Fin Marks is the man on the wing close to the try line to finish in the corner, the conversion against the wind is missed, 10-0.
A few minutes later and Will Counsel is breaking through the line and shrugging off tackles and even though he is being brought down he has the mental and physical capacity together with the skill to kick the ball through for Fin Marks to run onto, collect and score under the posts, Harry Collison converts, 17-0.
The bonus point try takes a little while to appear but this time Gwyn Parks breaks through, off loads to Fin, passes to Harry Collison under the posts and he converts again, 24-0.
The boys are playing some great stuff but even from a dodgy kick through by Fin, Oz Martin executes a great pick up and off load to Will Counsell to break through and score, conversion is missed and score is 29-0 at half time.
The boys pick up from where they left off almost immediately attacking with intent, this time strong counter rucking sets them off and Alex Taylor with great hands finds the final pass out to Ed Smale to score in the corner, conversion missed 34-0.
Bideford to their credit fight back and find themselves in Tops 22m and battering the try line, Ben Phillips is made the fall guy for a ‘third’ infringement and sent to the sin bin so down to 13 players. At the same time Harry Collison goes off injured so down to 12 players and Bideford remove their winger to make it 12 against 13, this proves to be a big mistake because in the next move Harry Hart strips the ball and passes down the line for Tarquin Kerton Johnson on the wing to run 70m, kick through for George Howill to dribble the ball to the line and score under the posts, Gwyn Parks converts, 41-0.
Tops continue to pile on the pressure and despite a solid looking defensive line of red and white Ed Smale shows and goes through a gap to score under the posts which he fails to convert, 46-0.
The final act of the game sees George Howill score again and miss the conversion to take the score to 51-0 and the referee calls an end to proceedings 5 minutes earlier than expected.
