Welcome to TMCC Juniors 2019!

If you have a child aged 5-18, old member or new, we would love to welcome them as a TMCC Junior for what promises to be a great seasons cricket.

Graeme White, our new Director of Cricket and Sid Godbole, our Youth Development Manager are really looking forward to working with all of our new and returning junior players; "I’m really excited to be given this opportunity to come and be Director of Cricket at TMCC. I’m hoping that with my experience in the game, I can come in and help improve what is already such a strong and talented youth set up." (Graeme White)

We will be delivering a phased programme of development for all young players, catering for their age and experience level. The aim will be to bring all of our teams up to speed to compete well in County Finals cricket.

TRAINING PROGRAMME OVERVIEW:

Phase 1- (4 weeks) Fielding and Fitness;
We will ensure players can move well side to side and across the ground to improve performance in the field and between wickets.

Phase 2- (4 weeks) Batting;
Basics will be covered for younger players. For older ones we will have weeks covering batting against spin or quick bowling.

Phase 3- (4 weeks) Bowling;
Simple straight lines and basic technique as well as skill specific sessions with specialist coaches and bowling at the end of an innings, for example, will all be covered.
