Well, while it may appear that work has stalled on the project, we can assure you, that is far from the truth.
There has been, and continues to be, a huge amount of work progressing in the background. Most of the work has been with planning, discharging of planning conditions, soil tests, drainage and turf consultations and meetings with our National Governing Bodies (NGB’s) to secure their support and in some cases funding. We have also been in talks with our major potential funders and the council and are finally in a position to start work on the site.
Details will be shown to all members in the near future of how each part of the next stage of the project will be delivered. This will depend largely on how much funding we can secure as to what part of the project we can do first. READ MORE
We are however, starting work in the coming days, on a lot of the ground works including putting in a new entrance at the top of the land past the cricket pavilion.
There is a lot of Health and Safety work that will go with the ground works, so please bare with us if there maybe some slight inconvenience.
You never know, we may get round to fixing the potholes…
As ever the club and committee is indebted to the people who are making this happen.
Please make a note in your diaries, for the 22nd June where we plan on launching our Fundraising Campaign in support of the new development. We plan on having a massive Summer Party, BBQ, live bands and lots of fun for kids and adults alike.
Please make sure you can attend and bring friends. Watch out for details of whats involved and happening on the day!
