A mile can represent something a whole lot more important

At Tows we’ve set up a cumulative running and walking challenge to complete before the end of the year, it’s a massive total and we’re trying to run and walk 6500 miles as an entire club, all sections included.

Not just a challenge for individuals, nobody is expected to run hundreds and hundreds of miles unless you feel that way inclined of course. We want to recruit as many people as possible so players, family, partners, absolutely anyone affiliated with the club to run or walk and log it on strava in the running group called Towcestrians run miles that matter. (https://www.strava.com/clubs/Towsrunmilesthatmatter) Sorry if you don’t have strava but it’s the easiest way of logging all the miles so please download it for free!

Every single year, on average, 6500 people take their own life in the UK alone. Every single mile you run represents someone that felt the need to take that drastic step. Alongside this we will be raising money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/towsrunmilesthatmatter

Appreciate that it is cold out at this time of year but every single mile matters. At a time like this where people are struggling with their mental health this is a perfect way to all try and work together towards a common goal

Importantly, if you have been told to self isolate then you MUST adhere to government guidelines and stay in. Be safe and sensible in everything you do.

Please share this message far and wide to anyone and everyone affiliated with the club in any way. Let’s raise some money for a fantastic charity
