Today we played Casuals. Slightly different team selection as our DPP and more advanced players were substitutes for the start of the match. Well done to the players who don’t usually start the match as they all played a good game, all did their part, started and finished strongly.
Credit must be given to the Casuals squad as they are a team in transition, developing their skills and put up a good fight despite the score line.
It must be said that the Tows team did very well and deserved the score line of 73-5 despite giving away avoidable penalties for silly mistakes.
Tows dominated the breakdowns and moved the ball efficiently to the wide players. Some very good runs by the forwards and some great plays from the backs.
Overall, I feel that we played very well as a team but there is still room to improve, which we will work on in training.
