Both sides defended and attacked well from the off. With possession being very even, it meant tries were going to be scored and defensive lines needed to be tight.

Lutterworth got on the score sheet first, with an aggressively fought try out wide. But Tows soon came back and got themselves level.

Hard tackling and attacking rucking meant Tows got the ball into hand and pushed hard in attack. They fought well in scrums and were putting their practice to use in successful lineout balls.

With quick feet from both sides, the play would quickly switch from attack to defence for both teams.

Tows came back towards the end, fighting to get back level after conceding points from further successful tries scored by the opposition. With only minutes to go Tows were pushing much closer. After banking two further tries scored you thought they were going to get one more to get ahead.

But with the final whistle at 80, Lutterworth had just pipped Tows to the post.
