A damp and rainy Sunday kick about for the Roses

The Roses welcomed our new friends the Cheltenham Civil Service Ladies on Sunday for the second league game of the season.

With the weather doing it's best to take kicking off the table and the hail battering our ladies during the warm up, the Roses did Towcester proud as always! We had many new faces on the pitch with a lot of the team having only played 1 match before.

The Roses try went to Gemma Smith after one hell of a 'kick out of a tackle' (honestly it was as unorthodox as it sounds!) from fullback Maccy Mcmanus. Some hard hits and big runs from our forward of the match Hannah Collier. Our back of the match went to Rhiannon Thomas who successfully transferred from physio to winger in her first ever game of rugby.

We are very glad to have so many new faces in our team and we are so proud of how well the Roses worked together on Sunday.

Final score 7-33 to Cheltenham Civil Service

1x Gemma Smith

1x Olivia Burnett
