A fine win to round off the season

2 wins in less than 48 hours
Tows traveled up the A5 for their final 15 aside game of the season less than 48 hours after playing ONs on the Friday evening.
A few players short because of holidays and injuries their area cup team mates from Bletchley joined them giving us a squad of 18 the same as Lutterworth.
This was always going to be a tough game to end on, the ground is becoming like a rock and Lutterworth are always a big strong squad.
The first 10 mins saw Tows with the lions share of possession but struggling in the break down lutterworths rucking turning over some ball that should of been secure. An injury to one of the opposition and on shot coach Neil Taylor with a few choice words about our commitment to the break down. It was only a couple of mins later the ball was put out wide and small of size but big of character Ellie Harrison forced her way over the line for tows first.
Tows now began to pick their game up winning their second phase ball and recycling Anna Woodman doing all the dirty ground work often not seen but so vital, a brilliant pick and go from skipper Caitlin Donohue saw her score the first of 4 tries. The tackles from either side coming in thick and fast and as ever in the middle of it the number 12 playing at flanker today Nell ( the rock ) Bellenger. It was about then that the first of 4 injuries to the Tows girls occurred PP taking a knock and having to come off.Kirsten just after half time.Daisy Boyce came off half way through the second half and Bella Taylor with 5 mins to go. A fair bit of reshuffling and lots of game time for new players Georgia and Maisie.
The Bletchley center pairing of Ellie and Ellen both having excellent games. The front row had to work hard for us to keep our ball at our scrum Arai and Kira being put under pressure by much bigger players.Lucy Ramskill finding a bit of space used that amazing acceleration of hers to get her name on the score sheet. Lilly Fergurson again being denied that first try just short of the line. Sinead Parker decision making of when to kick improving every game and looking more of a 10 than 15 next season.
Half way through the second half Lutterworth pulled a try back and just as it looked like they were getting on top an amazing line break by Incilla took the ball 2 feet from the lutterworth try line. As ever right behind her Caitlin Donohue picking and going over for the last try of the game.
Another well fought win to end an amazing season for this U15 squad. Only losing one 60 min match all season playing 20 games winning 18 and drawing 1.
Just the Saints X7s tournament on the 27th of April to go.
