After all of the rain over the weekend Olney were today's visitors.
Towcestrians started the game slowly giving the visitors an easy first try of the game.
Moving the ball quickly through the hands they simply ran round the slowly moving defence.
It took 15 minutes before the home side manage to exert sustained pressure for Philip Andrews to force his way over for the first of a brace for him.
Urged on by the home crowd 7 minutes later it was that man again Philp Andrew's forcing his way to the line. Rhys Williams was unable to convert the extras in the swirling wind.
Just before half time it looked like Tows had the half in the bag but Olney struck back again.
Half time and all even.
The second half could have gone either way but it was the visitors that struck again.Infringing in front of the posts and an easy 3 points .
From here on Towcester never had the rub of the green. Philip Andrews struck again but was adjudged to have been held up followed on by strong scrum pushing the visitors over the line and again held up.
Onley didn't give up and again found the edge of the defence to strick again.
Tows did have an opportunity to close the gap 5 minutes from the end with a penalty kick just to the right of the posts, but the ball hit the upright bouncing back into the field of play and Olney reacting the quickest running the length of the field for the win.
Tough to watch but well played to the opposition.
Next week the team are away at Market Harborough .
