Towcestrians entered this week's match in a positive mood after a 38 - 38 draw with Guildford away earlier in the season, but the visitors came prepared to gain revenge on those dropped points and went away with a convincing victory.
Tows started brightly making some promising breaks through the midfield, James Falvey given the first chance of points with a penalty which struck the posts, but with Guildfords pack soon gaining scrum dominance Tows found themselves on the back foot after conceding a number of penalties at scrum time, leading to two tries from the visitors to take an advantage they would not let slip. Tows penalty line out drive gave the home side a score back through Callum Jones, Falvey converting from the touch to turn round 7 -14 behind
The second half belonged to the visitors, mainly through their scrum, running in three more tries, Tows, as usual, refused to capitulate, tackling to the very end.
Tows 2nd XV came back from Nuneaton with a well earned 10 - 25 win, while the Colts lost to Lutterworth 13 - 14
All eyes now turn to the Alliance Cup Semi Final with Bugbrooke which will be held at Towcestrians on Wednesday April 4th , 7:30pm Kick Off, all support will be needed to cheer on Tows.
