Towcestrians mid season run of six consecutive league wins was negatively matched this past Saturday away at Kettering with this sixth straight league defeat, Tows now with a perfect split of 12 wins and 12 losses in the League with just two matches to come.
The home side, on the verge of winning this league, found themselves more than matched for the first twenty minutes, Kettering scoring first but Tows replied with an Adam Wilkinson score and James Falvey conversion, Falvey then kicked two penalties in answer to Ketterings second score for a 10 - 13 lead, this was as good as it got for Tows, Kettering scoring twice more before the half to secure the bonus point and turn around 24 - 13 ahead, played in front of a large crowd the strong home outfit dominated the second half starting with the softest of tries, Tows failing to hold to on their own line out and the Kettering scrum half trotting i, five more tries followed, Tows outplayed and outgunned never gave up, Tom Thelfall yet again running himself into the ground in defence.
