Tows slipped to another defeat, this time at the hands of undefeated Syston away from home.
The conditions were absolutely awful and Syston set their stall out early kicking a penalty in front of the sticks in to the corner, converting the opportunity to go 7-0 up. Tows showed their attacking ability after a good line break from Paddy Falvey to put Cam Young in the corner. The hosts scored another three tries securing the bonus point before half time with Young adding his second.
It was much of the same after the break with Syston scoring very early on again. They dominated majority of the play and scored seven second half tries. This only met with one more Towcester score from Adam Wilkinson collecting a cross field kick from James Falvey. Tows are struggling at the moment but are hoping there is a change in fortune soon with some key players returning to fitness.
Elsewhere, Tows 3rd XV lost for the first time in the Merit Table to Heathens RFC and Tows Colts progressed in the Cup
