Desperate for league points Tows travelled to mid table West Bridgford. They got off to the worst start conceding nearly from kick off. But they soon came back, the inclusion of skipper Craig Holton for only the second game this season gave go forward ball leading to a score from hooker Andrew Smith, the extras added by James Falvey from the touch line.
Slack tackling surrendered Tows’ lead with the bridgford lock going under the sticks. Liam Wilkinson got tows over the gainline times lacking support at the crucial moment.
The opening ten minutes of the second half were awful for Tows conceding two quick fire tries to find themselves 24-7 down. Tows then enjoyed their best period of the game, Jack Wilson and Pepe Nanci both adding tries.
The late surge wasn’t enough and they had to settle for a losing bonus point. Final score 24-17
