After five minutes of sparring Tows had an opportunity take an early lead but failed to do so as a wide James Falvey’s penalty kick crashed off the post.
From that miss the game settled into a stalemate with both defences cancelling attack attempts.
Only a mistake from Windsor let Tows take the lead, Craig Holton out pacing the cover to score after pouncing on a loose ball. Falvey converted from touch.
The score prompted heavy pressure on Tows’ line from the charged up visitors which resulted in centre Gary Morgan who strolling past what had been a water tight defence to score under the posts.
Seconds before the half time whistle Tows suffered another setback as Charlie Barker took a huge hit dislodging his grip on the ball which Windsor centre collected finding himself in space was able to sprint three quarters of the pitch to score the visitors second under the posts.
In the second half chances were created by Tows however they were not finished off as they lacked the clinical finishing used in the weeks gone by.
A penalty from Winsor put the game out of reach for the home side. Tows still hang on to second place on points difference.
