Devizes, very adept at the turnover frustrated Tows for the first half until just before the break, Craig Holton ran a quick penalty to release Dave Devlin-Jones for the opening score, converted by James Falvey. Just after the break Falvey ran from deep and released Devlin-Jones for his second. Shortly after replacement Scrum Half Harry Hopewell's darting break was closely supported by the voracious Aaron Goodman who scored Tow's third.
Tows were forced to weather 10 minutes with 13 men after two consecutive yellow cards, Marc Yates and Joe Threllfall walking, despite the game being played in good spirit. Devizes however failed to take advantage with poor handling playing into Tows hands with a forwards game, rather than utilising the outside advantage. Back to full strength a driving maul led to a further Tows score by skipper Liam Wilkinson, followed by an electric Fen Gallagher break falling short of the line quickly re-cycled through the backs winger Matt Yuill scoring in the corner. Falvey finished off his 100% conversion rate for the day with a momentous hoof from the far corner. Tows now head off for their Easter tour of Rouen with the prospect of a home play off against a yet to be decided West Country opposition on 26th April.
