Good progress 3 of 3

Towcester 2xv travelled to Wellingborough looking forward to play only their 3rd league fixture due to a lack of teams in their division , With the Tows seeing off Kettering in there 1st league game and Peterborough not fielding a side the Tows had been looking to this match to get revenge from the final game of last season when the Borough side won , Tows started strong with a try on the 2 minute mark from Murray Aitchison to be followed up by the conversion from callum Garwood but the frustration got to borough with Tows having ball control which lead to borough getting a yellow card and Tows responded well with trys in the 13th & 15th minute but with only 1 conversion being added , Scrum half Dave Stocks sneaked across the white was on the 22nd min . Craig Holton touched down on the 34th min and again on the 39th min not bad for someone who was making his long awaited return from having shoulder surgery. Tows made some changes at the break to bring on some fresh legs but 9 minutes later found themselves down to 14 with Ali Haynes getting a yellow this gave Borough the perfect chance to add pressure which they did but couldnt cross the try line due to the Tows digging in deep and all the defensive training paying off . Back up to full squad strength the Craig Holton show started again with running the ball straight at Borough who had no answer on how to stop the strong number 8 who got his hatrick . In the 65th minute Callum Garwood got his 1st try with both conversions from these trys getting slotted home by Sam Neale , 70th minute brought on another player James Petit who had been out for 18 months with knee surgery In the dying minutes of the game Borough got a penalty try awarded but couldn't get the conversion final score 50-5 .

Great to see the return of Craig and James to the Tows
Another great display from the young development side who are getting better and better with every game .

Man of the Match for Wellingborough who goes to the Hooker who battled the whole game .
Tows man of the match goes to Craig Holton
