Determination and pride pays off

Many of you might not know much about the Tows Development team apart from being a group of lads that feed the 1st team . This team is much more than your average 2nd team this team play in a league which they have won 7 from 7 sitting top of their league , They have in total played 18 games loosing only 1 game against Nuneaton who's 1st team are in National 2 league. The Development team have done this by travelling the country looking for better teams in better leagues to play against and are beating these teams they do this so they can be at there best to support their 1st colleagues on achieving their goal by reaching National 3 league .

The return match against Nuneaton wasn't going to be easy knowing that we had already lost to them and the damage they can cause with their forwards . The revisit started well in Tows favour with Kris Ancil getting the 1st try .Minutes later Kris touched down again for his 2nd but he wasn't to get his 3rd due to being taken ill and being substituted. Nuneaton hit back with a easy try and the game started to settle with both sides have equal amount of time in each other's halfs . The 2nd half started pretty much as the 1st with the Tows constantly putting the home side under serious amounts of pressure but again silly mistakes allowed the home side to hit back with 2 try's . With some injurys forcing changes to the squad we became a little weaker in the scrum but the performance was still their with the same attitude. Jordan brew and Kieran frost with capt Joe Chambers adding to the try's plus wes Roberts this finished off a Serious team who had no answer to the pure determination of a team who wanted to win.
Tows won 34-15

We have another tough nut to crack on 30th at home against Hinckley who we got a draw with . Please come along and show your support to thes
