Our Longest Away Fixture Proved To Be Very Tough

The longest trip in the league and one of the toughest games this season.

As seems to be the norm this season lots of unavailability and players playing out of position made the long trip to Leominster a very tough game to compete in.
With so many drop outs this week prior to travelling to Luctonians we had to rejig the squad with the players available.
The first few minutes showed that Luctonians would be far stronger at home than when they visited Greens Norton Road. It took the home side just 4 minutes to score the first try.
Straight running and missed tackles they scored out wide after the defence ran out of numbers.
Tows did manage to hit back as Rob Lee's put in a great break to score to the left of the posts. Cam Young couldn't add the extras and the teams sat level at 5 points each.
Then the home side started to stretch the lead. 4 unanswered tries before Ally Haynes manage to get a score back before half time converted by Callum Garwood.
The second half followed the first with the home side getting the first score.
Tows did rally mid way into the second half. Alistair Donkor and the Cam Young scored the next 2 tries.
Short of replacement young Lewis Pagano made his debut as a replacement as Rob Bodily couldn't continue with another injury.
the home side then brought on some very useful replacements . They made a big impact for the home side as they ran through a very tiring defence.
A tough game of rugby but a good bus trip back home.
Next week another away trip to Newbold.
