This was our first game as a development team for over 18 month. Alex Pittaway led the side to a impressive win against a typical Leicester firm.
From the kick off Towcester just needed to stay away from the big lads in the Belgrave side as this wasn't going to be won by trying to out muscle the far heavier opposition.
The first try went to Belgrave from a line out they simply form a maul and drove over for their first of only 3 tries for the game. Towcester from the kick off secured a fumble and attacked with pace out wide and switched back against play to score by the posts.
Belgrave taken by surprise by the quick leveling try from Towcester stuck to their game plan with big lads carrying hard and tackles not quite stick scored again.
From here on Belgrave could not live with the pace and rugby skills of Towcester.
They did get another consolation try late into the 1st half but never looked like they would cross the line again.
The second half it was all Towcester moving the ball well in noth the forwards and the back.
The score could have been greater and we will need to focus for the full 80 minutes as errors started to creep in.
Player of the match was returning 10 Ben Lawrence who control the game throughout.
