With the growing injury list at Tows multiple changes again for the development squad didn't really help the side settle for the first quarter of the match.
Burton started strongly as with what seems the norm this season a far larger pack using their weight advantage to put Tows under pressure for the first ten minutes.
The first try was very opportunist as the openside winger chipped and chased to score the first try out gassing the chasing defence. Luckily for Tows but unfortunate for Burton a few minutes later due to a injury this was the last they saw of their speedy winger.
The next ten minutes were very similar as Tows didn't really help themselves by not holding onto the ball.
More pressure from the visiting pack, resulting in another try.
When we did eventually keep hold of the ball we looked very threatening and it took half a dozen phases for Jonty Barrie to bust over the line for Towcesters first try. Converted by Callum Garwood to bring the side back to one score down.
As the half progressed the away side started to blow which Towcester in the ascendancy bit due to a penalty infringement the visitors increased their lead at half time.
The half time team talk was more on the lines of not panicking and start to use our pace working the blindside more to turn their larger pack around tiring them out and get our pack moving forward.
The half started similar to the first half with pressure again from the visitors untill we eventually got hold of the ball to play running rugby again.
A break from Adam Wilkinson on 55 mins would have been a certain try but the Burton flanker stopped him with an illegal high tackle in front of the posts. This lead to a yellow for the opposition's influencual inside flanker. Garwood slotted the points drawing the scores closer.
The next ten minutes seal the game as Towcesterians started to use the blindside compressing the opposition into the corners giving space out wide enabling Adam Wilkinson to score the next try.
3 minutes later an attack from a scrum again down the blindside gave Matt Yuill the next and 4 minutes later Kyle Browne secured the next.
This really broke the visitors as the speed and pace of the game started to tell on the big boys.
The final try came from returning front row Conor Cahill first game back for over 3 years to seal the game.
A great result from the squad who are putting together good performances every week.
Next week to opposition is Derby who are always a good side to face.
